Foreign License Convalidation   The procedure for acquiring an American FAA Certification based on your current foreign certification is called Convalidation. Having an FAA Certificate allows you to fly US registered aircraft worldwide with registrations beginning with the letter N (November). The FAA Certificate is respected worldwide. The Convalidation process is simple. First you must obtain a Private Pilot Certificate based on your current foreign certificate. Then you must pass both the Instrument Rating written and practical exams as well as the Commercial Pilot written and practical exams. * Note: ATP Convalidation is no longer available unless you have completed the written exam before 1 August 2014 ATP. 1) Complete and submit the form Alien Verification Pilot (AC 8060-71) to the FAA. http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/foreign_license_verification/ Note: in box 11 of the form type: South Florida FSDO 2895 SW 145 AVE Suite 120 Miramar, Florida 33027 2) Complete the appropriate examinations for the Instrument and Commercial Multi-Engine (CME) Come prepared to take the Instrument and Commercial written exams on the first day of arrival in Miami. Most students can become familiar with the airspace and local approaches with 5 to 10 hours of preparation in our Piper Seneca. Some students may require more time in the aircraft. Students complete the oral preparations with our instructors typically in 2 to 4 hours. The practical and oral exams last 2 hours on average. The flight portion is completed in our planes. Commercial Pilot Training

Commercial Pilot Training A Commercial Pilot Certificate allows you to fly an airplane for compensation or hire. It is the final capstone of the Professional Pilot Program. At this point your experience behind the yoke could begin paying for itself. The Commercial part 61 training is composed of two simultaneous courses. The single engine course is 10 hours of flight in a Piper Arrow. At the same time students are mastering multi-engine procedures in the Piper Seneca. Students reach the 250 hours and take the single engine commercial flight test. That is immediately followed by a Multi-Engine add on checkride. Full-time students who dedicate themselves to obtaining a commercial pilot’s license can do so within a 4 week period. If you have a regular job and can only dedicate a few hours a week, then it may take about four(4) to six(6) weeks to accomplish it. What kind of Aircraft will I train in? Private Pilot Training

Private Pilot Do you have the right stuff? Take control and fly freely above the traffic. The Private Pilot Certificate (PPL) is the first stop into the world of aviation.  It is similar to earning  your Driver’s license. As a private pilot you can fly an airplane and carry passengers (friends, family, co-workers, etc) but not for compensation or hire. However, you can share the operating expenses with your passengers. The private pilot certificate is the first step for those interested in a career in aviation. This extensive training program will give students a solid foundation in aerodynamics, meteorology, and hands-on flight experience. Full-time students who dedicate their time to obtaining a pilot’s license can do so within a 2 month period. If you have a regular job and can only dedicate a few hours a week, then it may take about 4 to 6 months to accomplish it. Can I get my Private Pilot License in 30 days? The Initial certification is not something you should rush through. Full time students typically take 6-8 weeks to complete the Private Pilot course. If you come ready to take the written test and have previous experience flying a Cessna you may be able to trim a few weeks off of your training. International M-1 Visa & TSA

International M-1 Visa & TSA Wayman Aviation is a diverse school with students and instructors from around the world. If you are interested in acquiring a U.S. Pilot’s Certificate there are new regulations in place by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that must be met before you begin training. To begin flight training: 1. Complete Wayman Aviation’s Enrollment Application. 2. Complete the TSA’s Flight Student Program. 3.
