Multi-Engine Requirements
- Ground Training
- 17 Years of Age
- The ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English
- Third-class FAA medical certificate
- Receive ground training with an FAA certified instructor or complete a home study course to learn Federal Aviation Regulations that apply to the Private Pilot.
- Pass an FAA knowledge test with a score of 70% or better.
- Flight Training
- 10 hrs of Dual Flight Time in a Multi-Engine Aircraft
- FAA Flight Test

Multi-Engine rating pulls the gate wide open on what aircraft you can fly. Most high-performance and long-range aircraft have more than one engine. This rating gives you the knowledge necessary to safely and effectively control a multiple engine aircraft with retractable gear.

Certification can be accomplished in one week of dedicated flying.
