Student Housing

Cadets traveling to Miami can now take advantage of Wayman’s student housing. There are a variety of options in the area. Most units have 2 or 3 bedrooms. They are fully furnished. Enjoy the comforts of home with a full kitchen, bathrooms, & wifi internet. Many units have a pool and other amenities. Most of the apartments are located within 4 miles of the flightline and have public bus routes nearby. However, Miami is a car town and it is recommended that students secure a reliable form of transportation. Transportation is not included, but many students opt for bicycles and scooters. Miami-Dade College Flight Training Partner

Wayman has a flight-training partnership with Miami-Dade College’s EIG-Watson School of Aviation. The program’s long history of launching aviation careers in Miami-Dade and contributing to the aviation community is unparalleled. Student pursuing a degree in Professional Pilot Technology Program will receive high quality ground training at Miami-Dade College and complete their in-aircraft flight requirements at Wayman. Students from Miami-Dade will now have convenient cost effective flight training available to them in North Miami. MDC students have always been welcome at Opa Locka Airport. This partnership allows cadets to get full college credit for their flight training. It also allows MDC students to use student financial aid and pell grants to further their flying. Current Wayman students will be elligible to recieve college credit towards a degree based on their FAA certificates. When he is not setting the standard for students and instructors at American Flight Training, Alfredo is the chief pilot at EADS Socata North America, based in North Perry Airport (KHWO).
